What is The Difference Between A Drift Rose & A Knockout Rose?
Drift roses and knockout roses are both beautiful additions to any lowcountry landscape. learn the difference between the two below:
SIZE: The Drift Rose is smaller in size and acts as a ground cover while the KnockOut Rose is a bush rose that can grow up the 6ft.
MAINTENANCE & TOLERANCE: Both the Drift Rose and KnockOut Rose are drought resistant and generally low maintenance. The Drift Rose requires minimal pruning while the KnockOut Rose does require pruning. Although not necessary, if you choose to fertilizer either Rose, wait until after the first bloom. Both roses are NOT deer or animal resistant.
FLOWERS: The Drift Rose offers the traditional “rose-shaped” bloom and carries no thorns. It is cold hardy. The KnockOut Rose shows non-traditional blooms that will continue to bloom until the first frost and has significant thorns.
