How Often Should I Run My Irrigation?

Every landscaping is unique. Below is what we recommend for the normal Lowcountry landscaping. PLease note that:

Newly established landscapes will need MORE WATERING

Sandy soils may need MORE TIME

Heavy, poorly drained, clay soils will need LESS TIME

HAND WATER containers and bedding plants

At the beginning of each year, have an irrigation inspection complete to inspect all zones, heads, and drip lines for proper function.

MARCH

1 Day Per Week

Spray Zones: 10 Minutes

Rotor Zones: 20 Minutes

Drip Zones: 20 Minutes

**Do not run irrigation if it rains

MAY

3 Days Per Week

Spray Zones: 10 Minutes

Rotor Zones: 25-30 Minutes

Drip Zones: 30 Minutes

APRIL

2 Days Per Week

Spray Zones: 10 Minutes

Rotor Zones: 20 Minutes

Drip Zones: 20 Minutes

**Do not run irrigation if it rains

JUNE - SEPTEMBER

3-4 Days Per Week

Spray Zones: 10 Minutes

Rotor Zones: 30 Minutes

Drip Zones: 30 Minutes

**Delay watering 1-2 days after rainfall

OCTOBER

2 Days Per Week

Spray Zones: 10-15 Minutes

Rotor Zones: 30-40 Minutes

Drip Zones: 30 Minutes

**Delay watering 1-2 days after rainfall

NOVEMBER - FEBRUARY

Turn Off Irrigation Clocks

Normal landscaping will need watering 1 time every 10 days. Generally, rainfall will cover this but you may need to run an irrigation cycle in extended dry periods.
